My family and I had a great time with Captain Dan. He took us to multiple spots and was excited to advise us on how to catch the best fish. We are not experts by any means, and Dan was very patient with us and extremely helpful. I highly recommend booking a trip with Dan, we had a blast and can’t stop talking about it!

Had a great experience with Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters. Super easy to work with and just good people all around. You can tell they really know the local waters—put us on fish and kept things fun the whole time. Everything was smooth, no stress, just a solid day out on the water. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to get out catch something.

Captain Whitney and First Mate Dan provided my family with an amazing experience fishing on the Gulf. Everything from scheduling the charter to keeping in communication. Whitney made sure he responded back and gave his suggestions. If you have children, Whitney, along with First Mate Dan, was amazing. They did everything they could to make sure our 11 year old son had the time of his life. At the end of the day, Whitney took the time to fillet our fish and we ended up have an amazing dinner over looking the water. We were even able to see the NASA launch from the distance. Again, Whitney and First Mate Dan, thank you for the this amazing adventure.

We had an outstanding day with you guys. It was one of the best trips we’ve had in a very, very long time. We love watching families fish together.

This trip was EPIC! It was a Christmas gift for our son, Captain Whitney and First Mate Dan created an AMAZING experience for us! We couldn’t have asked for better weather or better company! Oh, and we got to eat our fish too! Big thank you to Sue too for the extended hospitality! We left stinky (😁), tired & sore and with full bellies and full hearts! This is likely not a last time for us! Thank you so much!!!!

Had a beautiful day out with this very knowledgable captain. He made our experience so much fun, and by the end of the day we made a friend for life. We will definitely be back.

Captain Whitney was great. We had 3 kids 12 and under and he was great with the kids and put us in spots to catch some fish. We'll be eating them tonight.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters! Captain Whitney and Dan were incredible from start to finish. They were even able to take us on a last-minute booking, which we really appreciated. As a couple of Ohio fishing enthusiasts, we had plenty of questions about fishing in Southwest Florida, and they patiently answered every one of them while sharing tons of local knowledge. The trip itself was unforgettable — we even saw dolphins while we were out on the water! They were also great about taking photos for us so we could capture the memories, and they cleaned our catch at the end of the trip, which was such a great bonus. Captain Whitney and Dan were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience relaxed and fun. If you’re in Matlacha and looking for a great fishing experience with people who truly know the local waters, we highly recommend Matlacha Saltwater Outfitters. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Florida! 🎣🐬

Hey Liz, I just wanted to tell both of you home. I’m excited I was for you guys and it was a lot of fun for us us as well.

We have gone out with Whitney several times. We always have such a great time! Whitney is extremely knowledgeable about the area and he took the time to understand how we wanted to spend our day on the water and where we wanted to go. We always felt safe in his hands. We will continue to use him for our charters every time we visit.
